Solo trips are a great way to forge a connection with yourself. Constant stress, whether due to work or some other reason, and exposure to social media can keep you from concentrating on yourself. That’s why it is recommended to take such journeys every once a while.
However, when you’re on your own, it also means the only person you can depend upon for your well-being is yourself. Falling ill or getting an infection can wreck your trip. Illness is especially hard on a tourist on a solo trip. Therefore, you must take all the necessary steps to keep yourself healthy.
To ensure your health on solo trips, carry these essential items along with you to maintain your hygiene:
1. Dental hygiene tools
Let’s start with the most common hygiene issue: penetrating bad breath. Frequent travelers would be too familiar with it. But sometimes, there’s no help for it. The flight could be too long, or you might not have access to a sink during a trek.
Regardless of the reasons, you can prevent your dental troubles with these items:
- Disposable mini-toothbrushes that you can use without water
- Pocket-sized mouth sprays
If you are a frequent traveler, these items should permanently be a part of your backpack.
2. Hydration prep

9. Air all the dirty laundry

11. It is all-purpose soap or nothing
Yes, dry shampoos and conditioners are worth their price, but are they also worth their weight? You don’t want to carry around several heavy bottles, do you? So, reduce the mess by bringing one all-purpose product.
Buy a bar of soap with all-natural ingredients. Use it to wash up and in the shower to keep your hair and skin shiny and clean. But remember to pack it correctly so that it doesn’t ruin other items in your luggage.
