4 Tips on How to Take Care of Your iPhone

There is no sound filled with more heartbreak than the sound an iPhone makes when it lands face down, flat, on a hard surface. You don’t even want to pick it up. Afraid just by looking at it, it means it’s broken.

Not only does this mean you’ve potentially destroyed your connection with the rest of the world, but also costs yourself quite a bit of money. Let’s face it; iPhones are more expensive than ever before. Nowadays they seem more like an investment than a purchase. Like a very rare and expensive bottle of wine.

Luckily there are ways to protect your investment. Keep reading to discover 4 tips on how to take care of your iPhone. The powerful magnets hidden inside the iPhone 12 Rugged case allow you to stick your iPhone directly to your golf cart securely for 18 holes.

1. Get a Screen Protector

There are several benefits to getting a screen protector. A screen protector is a thin piece of glass or plastic that sits on your original screen. The screen protector is meant to protect against scratches and dings in the screen. At the same time, screen protectors with an added privacy layer will keep your data safe from curious eyes

An added bonus to having a screen protector is that often when dropped the screen protector will become cracked. The original screen underneath, however, will remain undamaged. It is much cheaper to replace a screen protector than it is the original screen.

However, when a screen protector has been damaged it may be tempting to leave it as is until it is completely useless. That isn’t a wise idea. Once the screen protector has been damaged it should be replaced immediately since the chances of your original screen being damaged drastically increased.

2. Get a Good Case

There are many dangers that can befall an iPhone aside from falling and becoming cracked. There is also a danger from overexposure to water.

The new iPhone X series of phones are built with a tougher alloy than before and are designed to be water resistant. But that doesn’t mean you still shouldn’t get a waterproof iPhone X case. In fact, finding one that is waterproof and shock absorbent will offer the best protection possible.

3. Get a Wireless Charger

The iPhone 8 and later models have the capability to be charged wirelessly. While this may seem frivolous and pointless, there is a benefit to it.

Often times the first thing to go on an iPhone is the charging port. This is from frequently plugging the phone in and unplugging it multiple times a day every day. Over time the connectors can wear down. By charging your phone wirelessly, you can prolong the life of your charging port.

Another way to protect your lightning port is to find a waterproof iPhone X case that offers the ability to cover the port when not in use. This will help to protect the port from dust and other harmful particles. You’re iPhone will thank you.

4. Clean Your iPhone

When it comes to taking care of iPhones, they are like anything else. They need to be kept clean in order to function properly. Regularly cleaning your iPhone will keep dust and other harmful particles from getting into your iPhone and causing internal damage.

While the new iPhone models are rated to keep water and dust out, nothing is 100% perfect. Giving your phone a wipe down with an electronic static free wipe will help prolong the life of your phone.

Also, be sure to pay particular attention to the ports on your iPhone. The lightening charger, camera lenses, and speakers especially. Be gentle with the camera lens and clean according to Apple’s instructions.

The speakers and ports though would benefit from a gentle toothpick cleaning. Gently remove any built-up grime found in there.

Taking Care of Your iPhone

iPhones are more and more becoming investments rather than a simple purchase. And like any investment, it deserves to be protected. Purchasing a waterproof case and screen protector, getting a wireless charger and cleaning your phone are all great ways to ensure your phone lasts a long time. Or at least until it is time to upgrade.

Remember about screen protectors though once they’ve been damaged, they need to be replaced immediately. This will ensure your original screen is always protected the best it can be. Don’t let your investment go to waste and protect your iPhone X today!
