After the Zenfone 4 & Zenfone 3 (both 5.2 & 5.5 inch variants), the third device from the ASUS Zenfone family to get the Android 8.0 Oreo update is the ASUS Zenfone 4 Pro which is apparently the Flagship of the 4th generation of Zenfones.
The update carries the Firmware Version 15.0410.1802.45. Alongside upgrading to Android 8.0 Oreo, the update also includes a few additions to the UI including,
- Swipe Up to access the App Drawer
- Long Screenshot
- Substitute Cast (for the Play To) function etc.
The core Android Oreo features like PIP Mode, Notification Dots etc. will definitely be there as well. However, there are minor improvements across the board as well including, improvements in Power Consumption which shall result in better Battery Life.
So, now ASUS has the Zenfone 4 Pro, the Zenfone 4, the Zenfone 3 5.2 inch & the Zenfone 3 5.5 inch in their list of Android Oreo devices. However, there are many more devices in the 3rd & 4th Generation families so, we hope ASUS gives Oreo to those devices soon as well. Anyway, good going ASUS.
