  4. After you have successfully stopped these services, minimize the Current window.
  5. Next open C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\Download.
  6. Delete everything in the Download folder.
  7. Finally, go back to the Services window.
  8. Start the Windows Update service and all the components that you had stopped earlier.
