How do I get to San Sebastián?

0

We can, of course, travel to San Sebastián by car, but this will certainly be quite exhausting. It is better to go there by plane. You can either land in San Sebastián or, for example, in Bilbao. Getting there is not a problem at all, as there are transfers available from Bilbao Airport to San Sebastián.

What is worth seeing?

The city of San Sebastian in Spain offers a very pleasant atmosphere. It’s not crowded most of the time and the surrounding beaches are really captivating to wander around, relaxing by yourself or enjoying an outdoor dinner with friends next to picturesque waterfalls overlooking beautiful landscapes that will make you really happy!

La Concha beach

The perfect way to cool off on a hot summer day, swimming at La Concha beach is something you don’t want to miss. The crystal clear water and white sand are exactly what your body needs after soaking up the sun all day!

A refreshing swim starts right here – take a photo against the backdrop of these distinctive railings, capture this moment forever by taking photos at sunset – it’s a beautiful place, and very photogenic too.

Interesting sculptures nearby

Just next door is another beach. The sound of waves crashing on La Ondarreta beach should be music to your ears. After walking the entire length of this stretch, you will come across an interesting sight in San Sebastian: a sculpture called Peine del Viento (Crest of the Wind). This impressive work of art consists mainly of thick iron bars sunk deep into the rocks, twisted by wind and sea forces. It is certainly worth seeing.

Old town

The old town is also worth a visit – this is where most of the bars and restaurants are located. Be sure to try the pinxtos, after all, San Sebastián has been famous for them since time immemorial! A good place for an afternoon coffee is at the very end of this old town, near the San Telmo Museum; there’s also a playground opposite where you can have a great time with the kids. There is something for everyone.
