How To Fix Black Screen On Element Tv

Element TV comes with many features that make it stand out in the crowded field of cheap TVs. One such feature is the ease of installation which should not give you any trouble at all if you follow the manual to the letter as you set up your television. However, what happens when things go wrong, and your TV shows nothing but a black screen? Here are some tips on how to fix it.

Step 1: Start With Your Basic Troubleshooting

If you’re experiencing a black screen on your Element TV, there are a few things you can try to fix the issue.

First, check to see if your TV is turned on. If it is, check to see if it’s set to the correct input. If not, change the input and see if that fixes the problem.

If your TV is still displaying a black screen, try unplugging it for 30 seconds and then plugging it back in.

This will sometimes reset the TV and fix the issue. But, if this doesn’t work, don’t worry!

There’s still one more thing you can do to get rid of the black screen – turn off auto-detect resolution and force 1080p.

You’ll need to press ‘menu’ on your remote and go into picture settings. From there, go into advanced settings and select on for auto-detect resolution.

Next, under resolution, choose 1080p. Now press ok and exit out of all menus.

The last step is to power cycle your TV by unplugging it from the wall outlet for at least 30 seconds.

Once plugged back in, you should be able to enjoy all the great content available through Element TV with no issues whatsoever!

Step 2: Ensure you have the latest software update available

If you’re experiencing a black screen on your Element TV, you first should check to see if there are any software updates available.

To do this, go to Settings > System > System update and then select Update Now.

If there’s an update available, it will download and install automatically without any input from you (be patient as this process can take some time).

Once the installation is complete, power cycle your TV by unplugging it for five minutes and plugging it back in.

When the screen powers back up, use the remote control to power cycle again and all settings should reset back to their default values.

There are times when you may still be experiencing problems after completing these steps, but it’s worth trying them before taking any further action.

One potential solution known to work is upgrading the HDMI cables plugged into your TV set-top box or set-top console to ensure they are at least 1.4 compliant.

Older cables may not provide enough bandwidth for certain signals, which could result in a blank screen.

Step 3: Reset the TV and router

If your TV screen is still black, you may need to reset your TV and router.

To reset your TV, unplug it from the power outlet and then plug it back in. Once it’s plugged back in, press and hold the power button on the TV for 30 seconds.

After 30 seconds, release the power button and then press it again. This will reboot your TV.

You’ll know it has successfully rebooted when you see a blue light blink a few times followed by the TV powering on.

Resetting your router is similar. Unplug it from the power outlet and then plug it back in.

Next, look at your TV screen: if there are bars across the top of the screen that keep going up and down, this means that either something with your Wi-Fi signal or with your Internet connection needs to be fixed before anything else can happen with your TV.

How to Buy More Storage On iPhone

The first thing you should do is try to connect directly to your modem with an Ethernet cable.

If this doesn’t work, contact your ISP and ask them what they recommend as their next step.

It could also be time for a new modem or router so make sure these are considerations before contacting your ISP.

Make sure all devices are connected wirelessly to the same network as well.

Lastly, make sure you don’t have any other home theater equipment connected to your TV (for example Blu-ray player) since those can interfere with its ability to find the correct input source (cable box).

Try connecting a different device

If you’re still seeing a black screen, try connecting a different device to your TV.

This could be a Blu-ray player, game console, or another streaming device. If you’re able to get a picture with another device, that means the issue is with your Element TV and not your device.

The Element team can offer tips on how to fix the problems with your specific model of the TV, find replacement parts if needed, and send out a technician if there’s no quick fix.

Step 5: Check both ends of your HDMI cable

If you’re still seeing a black screen, the next step is to check both ends of your HDMI cable.

First, make sure that the HDMI cable is plugged into the TV tight and securely.

Next, unplug the other end of the HDMI cable from your device (such as a Blu-ray player, cable box, or game console) and plug it back in.

Once you’ve done that, try turning on your device again. If you’re still seeing a black screen, move on to the next step.

If there’s an issue with your HDMI cable, we’ll need to replace it with a new one. You can purchase one at any major electronics store or online retailer.

Most decent-quality HDMI cables cost less than $10 each and are pretty easy to install yourself if you have basic DIY skills (or know someone who does).

If you can’t install an HDMI cable yourself, any tech-savvy friend would be happy to help for free!

Restart your Element TV

If your Element TV is displaying a black screen, there are a few things you can try to fix the issue.

First, restart your TV. This may fix the problem if it’s a minor software glitch. If that doesn’t work, try unplugging your TV for 30 seconds, then plugging it back in.

This will reset the hardware and may fix the issue. If neither of these solutions works, you may need to contact customer support for further assistance.

In the meantime, we recommend switching your HDMI cable from input 1 (which most likely won’t have a sound) to input 2 (if this solves the issue).

You could also use component cables instead of HDMI cables. For example, if your console is hooked up to the wrong input on your TV, switch the HDMI cable connecting your console with your TV’s input.

It should be noted that not all TVs are compatible with component cables–some TVs might require additional adapters or other equipment before they’ll accept an RCA signal.

For example, some TVs might require an adapter like those sold by Monster Cable.

Unplug all inputs

If your Element TV has a black screen, the first thing you should do is unplug all inputs.

This includes both HDMI and composite inputs. Once they’re all unplugged, wait a few seconds and then plug them back in.

Doing this will sometimes fix the issue. Continue reading below if it doesn’t work for you.

Check cables: It’s also possible that one of the cables isn’t plugged in correctly or might be broken.

Check to make sure all of the cables are plugged into their respective ports on your TV and any other devices, like game consoles or Blu-ray players.

Repair remote: Sometimes when we have so many remotes laying around it can get confusing what remote goes with what device.

Make sure the remote you’re using is programmed to control your TV by pressing Setup on the remote control.

Press TV and then Power. Select Yes and press Enter. You’ll see a confirmation message letting you know that your new settings were saved.

If none of these steps work, call customer service for more help! For the most part, these fixes should solve any issues you may have. But if not, don’t hesitate to give them a call.

TV panel issues

There are a few things that could be causing your Element TV to have a black screen.

It could be a problem with the TV panel itself, the display settings, or even your HDMI cable.

If you’ve ruled out those other possibilities, then it’s likely that you’re dealing with a hardware issue.

You can troubleshoot this by checking your cables and making sure they’re all plugged in correctly.

For example, if you’re using an HDMI cable to connect your device to the TV, make sure both ends of the cable are securely plugged into their respective ports on both devices.

Try turning off the TV and unplugging it from its power source for ten seconds before plugging it back in.

If that doesn’t work, contact customer service for assistance.

Backlight issues

The backlight on your Element TV is one of the most important parts of the display. If it’s not working properly, you’ll see a black screen.

Here are some tips on how to fix backlight issues -Check to make sure that the power cord is plugged in and connected correctly at both ends.

  • Turn off and unplug the TV for 10 minutes then plug it back in and turn it on again.
  • Try resetting the device by unplugging from the power source for 30 seconds then reconnecting the power cord and turning the device back on again.
  • If this doesn’t work, try pressing the power button five times.
  • If this still doesn’t work, try checking if there are any loose connections or blown fuses.

Damaged TV screen

If your television screen is black, there are a few possible causes.

The first thing you should do is check all of the connections to make sure they are secure. If that doesn’t work, try power cycling the TV.

If that doesn’t fix the problem, it’s possible that the screen itself is damaged and will need to be replaced.

Turn off the set with the remote or by unplugging it from the wall outlet. Unscrew any screws on the back of the TV that look like they might be holding onto the screen (if you don’t see any screws then skip this step).

Pull out at least one side of cable wire so that you can access behind where cables go in, using needle nose pliers if necessary.

Try turning the TV upside down to help you locate the cables. Once you find them, replace them with their slots while being careful not to damage anything else.

Put everything back together and plug it in again.

How do you know if your TV backlight is broken?

If your TV screen is black but you can hear the sound, then it’s likely that your TV backlight is broken. Here are a few ways to tell:

1. Check if the power light is on. If it is, then your backlight may be broken.

2. Try to take a picture of the screen. If the screen is black, then your backlight is most likely broken.

3. Turn on the TV in a dark room. You should see a dim image.

4. Look at the top or bottom of the screen for an indication as to whether or not your backlight is working properly. You should see a faint vertical line on either side of the screen.

Why is my element TV not showing pictures?

There are a few reasons why your element TV might not be showing a picture.

The first thing you should check is the connections between your TV and any external devices.

If those are all secure, then you should check to see if your TV is set to the correct input. If it is, then the problem may be with your TV’s screen itself.

In that case, you can try unplugging your TV for a few minutes to see if that fixes the problem.

You’ll also want to make sure that the backlight button on your remote control is set to on or bright. If this doesn’t work, you may need to replace the screen.
