The LG G7 ThinQ is almost here & the V35 ThinQ also expected to get announced sometime soon after the G7 comes out. These are all LG’s Snapdragon 845 powered flagships that’ll compete devices like the Galaxy S9+ & the upcoming HTC U12+ and Google Pixel 3. However, LG has further plans for later this year & it is the LG V40 ThinQ which will be the successor to the LG V35 ThinQ.
The Twitter leaker Evan Blass published a couple of Tweets today where he mentioned that the LG V40 carries the codename “Storm” and it’ll be LG’s flagship for Late Summer & Early Fall.

We’re not sure what specs the V40 ThinQ will be offering but, this makes us think that the LG V35 ThinQ willjust be a small incremental update over the V30 ThinQ. The V40 thinQ is going to be the real deal for 2018.
All these upcoming flagships will feature several AI functionalities which are expected to improve generation by generation. So, in theory the V40 ThinQ should be way more AI capable compared to the V30 ThinQ which is the first generation result of LG’s AI development.
