Intelligent AI Algorithm Guarantees a smoother user experience
ColorOS 7.2, through its AI algorithm, helps personalize user experience as well as enhance the usability of smartphone features via automated learning capabilities. It can intelligently predict the app users would use next and preload it so that it opens much faster.
ColorOS 7.2’s AI APP Preloading allows you to open your most-used apps faster by predicting when you are going to launch which app, thus saving the user time and improving the smartphone efficiency greatly. Imaging you won’t have to wait for Uber to load when rushing to the office in the morning, or wait for YouTube during lunch break.
According to OPPO’s software testing center, app preloading improves the average launch speeds by 23.63%. The longer one uses the phone, the smoother it gets by learning user habits. AI APP preloading consumes Zero battery, thereby giving users a much faster phone with no extra battery consumption.
Increased reliability under extreme low battery
The Super Power Saving Mode on ColorOS 7.2 helps extend the phone’s battery life at extremely low battery levels. Super Power Saving Mode leverages system-wide approaches (such as CPU frequency adjustment and backlight adjustment) and customizes power saving strategies for individual apps.
Users don’t have to worry even if they forget carrying their power bank or forget to charge their phones before going out. When the phone battery drops to 10% and 5%, a pop-up message will appear prompting the user to turn on Super Power Saving mode. Once switched on, a maximum of 6 apps are allowed to uses and the power drain slows down. You can control freely which apps you wish to use.
Based on tests performed at OPPO laboratories, a Reno4 pro with 5% battery can be used for WhatsApp messaging for up to 90 minutes or make calls for 77 minutes, when Super Power Saving mode is turned on, twice as long as when Super Power Saving mode is turned off.
Incubation hub with fun and innovative features
ColorOS 7.2 will feature an all new and innovative product release and experimental platform, OPPO Lab. The unique platform is one of its kind initiative where OPPO engineers and users can work together to co-create innovative features. It’s a platform where users can not only experience the latest fun features but can also up vote or down vote to support features they like or even allow them to put forward their own ideas directly to OPPO’s product team.
Right now, OPPO Lab supports two new functions: Lab Ringtone and Decision Spinner.
- Lab Ringtone: By adjusting the style, tone, and rhythm on an easy-to-use slide panel, users can create their own ringtones. The unique ringtones help create personalized ringtones can for calls, saved to the phone, or shared via social media platforms, helping users express their personality. Users can customize 10 different personalized ringtones.
- Decision Spinner: Make decisions with the spin of a wheel. This spinner comes pre-loaded with different questions like “What do we eat today?” and “Where do we go this weekend?” And of course, users always can create your own questions and options.
Enhanced Accessibility features for ease of use
With multitasking, the norm of the day in times like these, enhanced accessibility on a smartphone is on the top wish list of all users. ColorOS 7.2’s Icon Pull-Down Gesture is one of the industry’s best solution for opening those hard-to-reach apps on the Home screen when using the phone with one hand.
Swiping upward on the left or right edge of the Home screen activates the Icon Pull-Down Gesture. The feature makes the icons move down to the bottom half of the screen, letting users move to an app icon and release to open the app, using the thumb.
ColorOS 7.2 makes multitasking possible even while Gaming. The Quick Return Bubble on the latest ColorOS version provides a true seamless switching experience. When you switch to other apps while gaming, the Quick Return Bubble displays key information from the background gaming apps as a floating bubble. And it allows you to switch back with one easy tap on the bubble. For example, when users are waiting to respawn in a game, they can switch to another screen while still being able to view the respawn timer in the bubble. When it’s time to respawn, they can tap the bubble to switch back to the game.
An enriched Visual Experience
ColorOS7.2 brings an artistic visual experience with more than 30 sets of new artistic wallpapers that have been crafted by designers as part of the “Artist Wallpaper Project“. The Project collaborates with leading artists all over the world including for users to enjoy art and beauty right at their home screen. All the new artist wallpapers are available and free to download on OPPO Theme Store.
ColorOS 7.2 also features Gravity Wallpaper that follows the gravity direction of the user’s mobile phone to produce dynamic effects. The Home screen wallpaper can dynamically change depending on how users hold their device as if being pulled by gravity. It’s designed for users of Reno4 Pro to creatively express them with the universe.
