An upcoming Xiaomi smartphone named “Valentino” has passed Geekbench & it is using a new processor from Qualcomm & it is called the Snapdragon 638. In benchmarks it is a slightly incremental upgrade so, that should also hold true in terms of performance.
The Xiaomi Valentino scores about 1485 in Single-core & 5440 in Multi-core. This much feels like the when the Snapdragon 630 came as an upgrade to the Snapdragon 625 and they were almost identical in performance.
Now, the device also comes with 6 Gigabytes of RAM. So, with the Redmi Note 5 Pro in the market right now & the Mi A2 (Mi 6X) coming out pretty soon in international markets, was there a need for this device ? Well, it’ll all depend on what price Xiaomi launches this device in markets like India. If the price is not compelling, then it would definitely be another unneeded member.
