Google just announced the dates for the next Google I/O & looks like Android 8.0 is just around the corner.

As you can see in the above image, the Google I/O is going to be held from May 17 to May 19 of 2017. The biggest announcement however can be about the next version of Android that’ll be formally known as Android 8.0. Reports say that, one of the features that’ll be there in Android 8.0 carries the name “Less Copy” that is designed to simplify Copy-Paste operations of text.

Looking at the current status of the distributions, Android Nougat (7.0 & 7.1) is only running on 2.8% (2.4%+0.4%) of the total android devices out there right now.

So, it’s really hard to say if it Google is introducing the OS too fast but, as brands like Samsung, ASUS, Oneplus have already started to roll out the Nougat update to there devices, the current condition may change really soon with a much more participation of Nougat in available devices.

Anyway, we actually have to wait till May 17 to confirm what really in stock of Google. Till then we are keeping our fingers crossed for a completely redesigned & more optimize Android experience.
