Samsung, on 9th December 2014 confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy ALPHA will have the 0.4 mm thick Corning® Gorilla® Glass 4. Gorilla Glass 4 is one of the toughest scratch resistance glasses. Before getting this cover glass, the experts have gone through several tests to check the reason for the Smartphone cover glass breakage.
After going through several test on this, they introduced this Gorilla Glass 4. With the entire test done on this glass, it’s proven that this new Gorilla Glass 4 is the most potential cover glass protector. The design of this glass is made, keeping in mind, consumers demand.
On this, the General Manager and President, Corning East Asia Cliff Hund said “Corning spends a great deal of time collaborating with Samsung to recommend solutions that will continually improve their device design and performance“ and he added “Device makers want to go thinner without sacrificing damage resistance. Samsung is not only meeting these requirements, but is on the cutting edge of smartphone design. The Galaxy ALPHA is the culmination of our close collaboration with Samsung.”
This cover glass is expected to be a better replacement for the previous version as it is slimmer, tougher and more reliable.
