After introducing the Face Unlock feature in OnePlus 5T, OnePlus is bringing the Face Unlock feature in OnePlus 5 as well. It’s currently being available through an Open Beta Build with the Stable version coming later on.
However, OnePlus made it more exiting as they are probably bringing this feature to the older OnePlus devices. Yes, we are talking about the OnePlus 3 & 3T as the CEO has officially hinted this on his Twitter account as well as in a Forum Post.

He mentioned that as OnePlus 5 users wanted the Face Unlock feature, the company has listened & they are bringing the feature to the OnePlus 5. He also, asked that if OnePlus 3 & 3T users also want that feature. So, this clearly indicates that the company is already working on this feature for the OnePlus 3 & 3T.
As it’s literally a Software feature it should not be a huge deal for OnePlus to integrate it into the older devices & this really a good news that the company is not neglecting the users of their older devices who haven’t upgraded to a more recent device. Specially after they gave Oreo earlier in the OnePlus 3 & 3T.
So, if you have a OnePlus 3 or 3T, Face Unlock is heading your way in early 2018.
