Sony has launched two Smartphones with 4K Displays in the past. One being the Xperia Z5 Premium that came out back in 2015 & the Xperia XZ Premium that came out this year. Last time we talked about two new Sony Smartphones that will be packing a Full HD Display & the Snapdragon 845.
Now, there is a news that just came in indicating that, Sony may also launch a new smartphone that’ll also have the Snapdragon 845 but, most importantly a 4K HDR Display. It’s still not clear if it’s an OLED Display or an IPS Display. But, if Sony manages to fit the industry first 4K OLED Smartphone Display into this device, then nothing can be better than that. However, the Display shall also support the DCI-P3 color gamut.
Alongside the 4K Display & Snapdragon 845, there will also be 6 Gigabytes of RAM & 128 Gigabytes of UFS type Internal Storage.
We still don’t know what will Sony call this device, but few sources suggest that it might be called the Xperia XZ2 but, there is actually no confirmation on that. So, bring it on Sony, this kind of efforts are really appreciated.
