When the original Mi Mix was unveiled, everyone was crazy about that super minimalistic bezel. So, a 17 : 9 aspect ratio with almost Zero side bezels, almost Zero top bezel and the only place where a small bezel existed was the bottom of the screen where the Front Cam was also located.
The specifications were also top notch with a Snapdragon 821, upto 6GB RAM & 256 Gigabytes Of Internal Storage, a 16 Megapixel Main Shooter & a Ceramic Back.
Now, Xiaomi is going to launch the successor to this already pretty hyped smartphone. With no surprise this device is going to be known as the Mi Mix 2 & this time Xiaomi is going to shrink the bezels even more. Here is an image that shows how this design transformation is going to take place,
Now, the aspect ratio is expected to be the same as the Galaxy S8. So, a 18.5 : 9 aspect ratio along with 3D curved glass can be one of the main highlights of the Mi Mix 2 right ? But, even that isn’t going to be the main highlight of this device.
The main highlight is going to be even less bezels compared to the 2016 Mi Mix. So, on the top we have a super minimalistic bezel & the bottom bezel is getting even thinner this time. So, overall this design will look & feel a lot better compared to it’s predecessor.
For specifications, we are expecting a Snapdragon 835, 6 Gigabytes of RAM & upto 256 Gigabytes of UFS 2.1 type Internal Storage. The front & rear cameras are expected to be improved as well. The rear facing camera may equip a f-1.8 lens this year & dual cameras can also be a thing.
However, Xiaomi recently confirmed in a forum post that, the Mi Mix 2 will be unveiled on September 11 in China.
