The OnePlus 5T is going to replace the OnePlus 5 and it is also going to be the first OnePlus device to have a 18:9 Screen. We already got our expected first looks with the previous leak but, this new one is kinda confirming & also kinda different than what we saw in the previous leak…

So, as you can see in the image above, the design has quite a few similarities with the Galaxy S8 & the LG V30. The Aspect ratio is definitely 18:9 though the screen appears to be slightly curved around the edges, it’s unlikely that OnePlus is using a 3D Glass with Edge Features like Samsung. However the overall Size of the device will be exactly the same but the screen will be larger compared to the regular OnePlus 5. So, a 5.9 or 6 inch Screen in a 5.5 inch Form Factor.

Anyway, the resolution is expected to be Full HD again so, 2160 x 1080 maintaining the larger aspect ratio. The other major specifications may mostly stay unchanged with a Snapdragon 835, 8 Gigabytes of RAM, 128 Gigabytes of Internal Storage. The 3.5 mm headphone jack will probably stay & please OnePlus, don’t remove the headphone jack.

The Camera sensors may improve slightly but, we are not expecting a huge difference in image quality anyway. OnePlus does deliver good Cameras but, they never match up with the top tier Flagships from Smasung & LG. But, that’s kinda understandable considering the lower price tag of the OnePlus phones.

So, even if the OnePlus 5T comes with a newer sensor or sensors in both Front & the Back, don’t expect it to complete something like a Note 8 or iPhone 8 Plus. But, it’ll be a Dual Camera setup on the back again this time. So, fingers crossed for the OnePlus 5T & let’s see how many of our expectations, OnePlus can fulfill with their new Flagship.
