ASUS has recently pushed another update for the Zenfone 3 (both the ZE520KL & ZE552KL) that carries the Firmware version WW_15.0410.1801.40. The update came just after the Android 8.0 Oreo update & it was basically for Stability Improvements & it also included the January 2018 Security Patch.
However, ASUS has included a really important feature in this update & that is the ability to take Long Screenshots. Though, some users claim that they got this feature with the initial Oreo Firmware WW_15.0410.1712.31 but, my Zenfone 3 got it after the new update so, I can’t really confirm that. If you are using a Zenfone 3 & got this feature with the initial Oreo Firmware, let us know in the comments section.
Consider the above image for example. Clicking on the Long Screenshot option Scrolls down the Screen a bit & joins that extra portion of the screen to the Screenshot. Here I took the Screenshot of the this complete article about AI in Smartphones using the Long Screenshot feature.
This feature isn’t something new as we have seen this feature in other devices in the past. But, it’s nice to see that ASUS is still working on a phone that came out in 2016 & starting with Android 6.0 Marshmallow, the Zenfone 3 got Android 7.0 Nougat in between & even Android 8.0 Oreo recently. So, keep providing this good after sales support ASUS cause, users do appreciate it.
