[Update, Feb 21: Feature rolling out in India as well with an OTA update]
The Honor 9 Lite was launched in India just a few days ago & it hasn’t even started selling yet. But, in China the device is already getting the most hyped feature of 2018. Yes, we are talking about Face Unlock & the Honor 9 Lite is getting the Face Unlock in China via. a Software Update starting today.
Now, this is definitely 2D Facial Recognition & we’ll need to actually test it out to know how reliable it is. But, the thing is appreciated by many people & that’s why Huawei is probably including this in a budget device, such as the Honor 9 Lite.
So, after the Honor 9 Lite goes on sale in India on 21st January, it’ll probably already have the Firmware update for Facial Recognition on the server. At a price point of 10999 INR, this feature might be a big highlight for the device.
