The Red Hydrogen Holographic Displays Will Be Manufactured By Leia

If you have never heard of Leia Inc. , well you’re not alone but, they stole our attention with their Holographic Display technology that actually works. So, we have been hearing this from a long time that RED is working on their Hydrogen Smartphone that will feature a Holographic Display. Well it seems to be that, these displays will be manufactured by Leia.

So, what is this Holographic Display ? Well, the concept is not that hard to understand. Basically, this technology allows to view 3D Holograms on or I may say above the screen of the Smartphone. Leia achieves this by using Diffractive Lightfield Backlighting (DLB) technology. So, they put a DLB Layer between the Display interface & the LCD Panel. Here is an image that explains the same.

 

So, RED will use this technology in their Hydrogen Smartphone that . The good news is the user does not need any kind of Glasses to be able to experience this technology. This technology is completely made to be seen with naked eyes. So, Leia uploaded a Video on their YouTube Channel showcasing how this technology will take place in real life scenarios. So, in case you want to experience this technology, RED is actually taking Orders for the Hydrogen Smartphone. You can either order the Aluminium Build for 1195 USD or the Titanium Build for 1595 USD. So, it’s definitely expensive but, all the capabilities RED is packing inside this phone, it may be worth that price.
