Samsung's Gear 360 2018 Patent Looks More Like A Personal Assistant Than A 360 Camera

A recent exposure from Korea Intellectual Property Rights Information Service has shown a new patent from Samsung that seems to be the 2018 edition of their Gear 360 Camera. This has an updated design from it’s predecessor & it looks more like a Personal Assistant like Small Robot than a 360 Degree Camera.

The upper design kinda resembles the Gear 360 2017 but, Samsung has added two little feet to look it more like a robot instead of a regular 360 Camera. So, maybe Samsung will add the Bixby Voice Support in their new Gear 360 Camera to make it smart. But, that’s just our expectation & we cannot confirm anything about it.

As far the features go, the 2018 we are expecting the Gear 360 to be able to shoot upto 4K 60FPS. And the Voice Assistant feature may also be there as we discussed previously. But, this time again it may need a recent Galaxy Flagship to work with but, we’ll be happy to see if that limitation is not there. But, we’ll actually have to wait until the Official Unveiling of the device.

We don’t have any idea about the Pricing but, this device is expected to debut along with the Galaxy S9 & a new Gear VR in early 2018. So, overall Samsung’s new generation of hardware looks pretty good at this point & let’s see what else Samsung has in stock when they unveil the next generation in 2018.
