Injustice 2 For Android Review – New Edge To Mobile Gaming ?
So, the Injustice 2 was just officially launched at the Google Play Store & all the people who pre-registered for the game were one of the very first people to know about it’s availability including me. I have played Injustice 1 a lot & now playing the Injustice 2 makes it easier to actually feel the improvements. I have evaluated every aspect of the game to point out the improvements as well as disappointments so finally, this is Injustice 2 For Android Review.
In case you don’t know about the Injustice series, it was originally developed for gaming consoles like Play Station & XBOX & then WB decided to bring the game to Android & iOS platforms as well. Following the flow, Injustice 2 is also coming to PS4 & XBOX ONE but, we got the Smartphones version quite a bit early. Now, don’t expect the smartphone version to provide gaming pleasure simmilar to the Console version. There is like a hell & heaven difference between them. But, the Smartphone version is really very good when it is compared to the other high end competitors out there in Play Store.
I am not planning to drag this review way too long because it simply doesn’t make any sense to write a huge gaming review. So, my intention is to tell you about the main things that most of you are probably seeking for. I hope that’ll clear all your doubts & it’ll be easier for you to decide if that 890MB Game is worth downloading for you or not. So, without wasting more time, let’s jump into it.
The Game
The game is equipped with quite a few introduction videos that I really recommend watching completely as that’ll give you an idea about the story of the game & they look absolutely dope. Now, the game has quite a few segments to play with. the image below shall give you an idea…
Now, the playing process is quite simple itself. Select your team & you’re good to go. As you gain more & more members, you can alter between them & select the best possible team each time depending on the opponent team.
The gaming interface is kinda same like the Injustice 1. Here’s a quick preview of the gaming interface…
So, not a huge change in this segment. However, you can definitely do special attacks & they have been updated & they look quite awesome. There’s not much left to talk about the gaming interface so, let’s move to the next segment.
The Graphics Segment
This is where I think the most improvements have been made. The Injustice 2 brings a lot of graphical improvements to the board. The stock graphics on this game are awesome. I mean everything looks so good that I’ll actually consider it as one of the best graphics on any smartphone game. For example, look at the screenshots below taken on a 60Hz 1080P IPS Screen that has a Pixel Density of 403ppi.
So, definitely a great step up from it’s predecessor. The new graphics look dope & it is probably one of the chrispiest graphics on any Smartphone Game ever made. It can really go head to head with games like Nova 3. The performance segment is a different story though. Let’s talk about that in the next part.
The Performance Segment
Now, Injustice 1 was never about performance at any point & Injustice 2 holds the same aspect. The was you control your heros is still kinda same. The movements are not that exiting & controlling the heros properly is not a huge deal in the game. This makes the game a disappointment for those who were seeking that mind freaking action. I feel that Marvel Future Fight gives a lot more pleasure when it comes to pure performance. I don’t know why DC games are lacking that. Special attacks go quite a bit on the performance side but, not that much. Here’s a quick look…
Yah, they do look really dope but, judging by pure performance, looks like the developers didn’t wanted to push that breathtaking actions in this game. You’ll probably need to play the console version to get a better experience on the action side.
Also, you can’t change the Graphics setting manually. So, if you have a slightly underpowered device & need to play in low graphics settings, you can’t. You’ll definitely end up with compromised performance in the form of low frame rates. So, not impressed with the performance segment that much. Can’t understand why they repeated this thing.
Final Verdict
The Injustice 2 is great step up from the older Injustice 1 when Graphics are in consideration. But, performance is actually very simmilar. So, if you love awesome graphical experience, you can definitely try this game. It’s again one of the best graphics in any smartphone game. But, if you prefer the chrispy performance more than the graphics, I don’t think it’s a good option for you. Specially, if you have played Injustice 1 & felt bored, you’ll find the Injustice 2 boring as well.
