Till now we only had i5 & i7 CPUs from Intel’s 8th Gen U-series & kinda everyone wanted a less expensive i3 CPU for budget laptops. Finally Intel has introduced that desired budget CPU for laptops & it’s called the i3-8130U. It’s a 15W CPU like all the other U-series CPUs but, in this case it has two cores instead of four.

The main improvements of the i3-8130U over the i3-7130U are the 1MB increase in Cache Sizes & the 8130U now supports the new faster 2400 MHz DDR4 Memory while the 7130U only supports upto 2133 MHz DDR4 Memory.
So, for all those users who were desiring an 8th Gen Refresh of the budget i3 line, now there shall be some devices equipped with the i3-8130U pretty soon.
