ASUS Announced The Pegasus 4S With An 18:9 Display, Dual Rear Cameras And A 4030 mAh Battery

Remember that ASUS device that we caught earlier in Tenaa with an 18:9 Display ? Well, that device has been unveiled & ASUS is calling it the Pegasus 4S. So, this is actually the first ASUS device device that has an 18:9 Display & surprisingly they are pushing this technology at their budget segment of devices at the first time instead of using it a Flagship or at least a Mid-ranger.

ASUS PEGASUS 4S MAX SPECIFICATIONS

  • 5.7 inch 1440×720 HD Display (18:9 Aspect Ratio)
  • Octacore 1.5 GHz Processor (Probably the Mediatek MT6750)
  • 3GB or 4GB RAM variants to choose
  • 32GB or 64GB Internal Storage variants
  • 16MP (Regular) + 8MP (120º Wide Angle) Rear Cameras
  • 8MP Front Camera
  • 4030 mAh Battery
  • Android Nougat
  • Aluminium Alloy Constructed Body
  • Dimensions of 152.6 × 72.7 × 8.8 (mm)
  • Cellular Support upto 4G LTE networks

The specifications do suggest that this device will come at a lower price point while maximizing the potential of the device in the Camera & Battery departments. Performance is definitely not a catch for the ASUS Pegasus 4S.

THIS DEVICE MAY SELL AS ZENFONE 4S MAX EVERYWHERE ELSE

The ASUS make the Pegasus Series exclusively for China. But, we saw last year that the ASUS Pegasus 3 became available outside China as the Zenfone 3S Max. So, if ASUS wants to make the Pegasus 4s available outside of China as well, they may want to call it the Zenfone 4S Max everywhere else. It’s just our expectation though, we don’t know if ASUS is actually thinking to do that. But, it has quite a bit possibility to it as, this device also comes with a big 4030 mAh Battery.

The pricing details were not made available but our rough guess is under 1499 Yuan in China & under 15000 INR in India. But, the pricing will be a vital pointer for the device as more & more 18:9 Budget Devices are coming out. So, let’s see how it goes.
