Sony was testing Nougat on their devices like Z5 & Z3+ since last few months. Recently the Xperia XZ came into the list. Sony has tested Android Nougat in the Xperia XZ & it may soon roll out globally.
Sony has previously pushed this update for Regional Devices but, the Global ROM wasn’t here yet. However Sony may announce it’s availability during the MWC 2017. Sadly, the version of Android Nougat is going to be 7.0 instead of 7.1.1 . But, at least we know that it’s now coming to the full line up of Xperia XZ & it’s coming with some new funtional improvements and additions.
According to reports, the Android 7.0 update will bring improvements like, Better touch sensitivity & Enhanced battery life. Basic Nougat features like, the Split-screen view & Customizable Quick settings menu will also be there unless Sony decides to skip any. Sony may also launch their own Voice Assistant alongside the update.
