Jam Out with the Best Guitar Games on the Market

I’ve always loved guitar and a couple of years ago I started taking lessons to learn how to play. I was getting pretty good at it but the costs of lessons start to add up and eventually I had to quit. Recently, I’ve been itching for some kind of game or app that will help me get my guitar fix. Jam Out with the Best Guitar Games on the Market.

Just the other day, a friend of mine was telling me how he came across this list of the best 10 mobile guitar games on a website called AppGrooves. He said he played a few of them and absolutely loved them – they’re really similar to Guitar Legend, which we both liked to play in the past. Knowing how much I also like guitar, he sent me to the following site to take a look for myself. Jam Out with the Best Guitar Games on the Market.

Best 10 Guitar Games

Ever since then, I have been playing these games nonstop. Not only do they give me the opportunity to feel like I’m playing guitar again, but a couple of them also have actually been helping me to refresh my guitar playing skills. I’m finally getting my groove back, and I’ve been loving it so much that I knew I couldn’t keep this information to myself. I decided to choose the three apps that I like best and share them with you below.

Guitar Band Battle – Rating: 4.5, Downloads: 10M

Guitar Band Battle really lets you experience the thrill of growing from a small garage band to a world-class rock group. You start by building a band and playing basic instruments; you even hire musicians off the street for a really authentic, start-from-scratch feel. Then, you are able to earn money, unlock upgrades, and put together the best band possible as you advance from one literal stage to the next. You can even compete with players around the world to see who will be top dog in the hall of fame. Jam Out with the Best Guitar Games on the Market.

You won’t find popular hits in Guitar Band Battle’s song collection, so that may be of important note if the music you play is important to you. In exchange, the game is free to play, but ultimately, it’s up to you to decide what’s most worth it to you: the money or the music

Pros: Create your band from scratch, develop a career as you play

Cons: You can’t play popular songs/music

Overall: Unlike like other games where you only play songs, Guitar Band Battle lets you develop a full career as a musician, but you can’t play current songs due to copyright restrictions

Real Guitar Free – Rating: 4.2, Downloads: 50M

The sound on Real Guitar Free is incredibly authentic so it really feels like you’re playing an actual guitar. This is because real acoustic guitars and electric guitars were used to record each sound effect in order to make the whole experience more life-like. Pluck out a simple melody or play your favorite rock song with chords; you have the ability to do it completely your way. You also have the ability to select the guitar you want to play from acoustic, electric, 12-string, plus select if you’re right-handed or left-handed. Jam Out with the Best Guitar Games on the Market.

There is a free trial period so you can try out the app to see if it fits your needs; however, once that’s over you will have to pay for the app’s premium version. It’s way cheaper than buying an actual guitar so it’s totally worth it in my opinion, but, again, it’s up to you.

Pros: Authentic guitar sounds, your choice of the guitar to play, select if you’re right-handed or left-handed

Cons: You do have to pay once the free trial is over

Overall: You can play guitar in the most authentic substitution to real-life but you will have to pay for it after you’ve completed the free trial

Rock Life – Rating: 4.2, Downloads: 10M

Rock Life is incredibly fun because you’re able to collect hundreds of exclusive guitars and customize them to fit your exact taste. You can build your brand from the ground up by hiring musicians and buying instruments, and then you can invite Facebook friends to play along with you. You can also make friends with online players from around the world and compete head-to-head to see who is really rock star material.

You’ll just want to keep in mind that you will need an internet connection to compete with other players in real-time. You can play the game offline, but you will be missing out on these features, which are half the fun.

Pros: Online and offline gameplay, hundreds of guitars to customize, play with friends

Cons: Requires internet access to play with friends

Overall: As long as you have a strong connection to the internet, you’ll be able to customize your guitar gameplay and have a blast with friends

Conclusion

I’m so pumped that my friend introduced me to these games and I honestly don’t think I’ll stop playing anytime soon. If you love guitar and don’t have time to play in your day-to-day life – or, maybe you’re like me and taking guitar lessons just isn’t practical or affordable at the moment – then I seriously recommend you check these apps out. Get your guitar fix and bring some entertainment to your life. Jam Out with the Best Guitar Games on the Market.
